This carpet is stunning example of an oversized carpet. MASHAD is located 909 km(564 Miles) from Tehran in the north east of Iran between the two mountain ranges of Binalood and Hezarmasjed.
This carpet really is a statement but it still manages to keep all the colours looking subtle and it blends perfectly. Mashad rugs and carpets are mostly curvilinear with a single central medallion, corner floral designs, and very busy curvilinear floral motifs in the background. This piece has an all over design (no medallion) and is of a very good quality.
