This carpet is a fine Persian Sarough with a fantastic antique wash. A trademark of the Sarough is the fine quality wool that instils it with a superb glow and shows the quality and character in the carpets. Sarough rugs and carpets are very famous, however, it is not easy to determine true Saroughs from those of neighboring villages and cities.This piece is a true SAROUK (also known as SARUQ and SAROUGH) made in a village around 50 km north of Arak in Iran
